Boosting Problems Still....

Ok. Stock 1990 GSX, Blitz BOV (Atmosphere), no mods other then that. Idles fine. I just recently bought the car and i knew it didnt have any pull to it but i didnt care it was a great deal. ive been playin around with it and i still cant figure it out. i check for boost leaks, the turbo has no shaft play, remounted the BOV just because i didnt trust the guy, my check engine light comes on and off all the time. Heres my ideas, tell me if im way off and throw so ideas. My clutch is slipping a little i can tell but its not enough to create absolutely no boost. the (stock) gauge is sayin theres boost and i can hear the BOV. now i have heard that it could be my catayltic converter but i think thats a little much, although im getting 3 inch turbo back next weekend so i will figure out if thats it soon. Im wondering if an O2 sensor is making my check engine light come on and off but would that affect my turbo that much??? Im wondering if my wastegate is like stuck open or something. what would happen if ur waste gate was stuck open because i feel like no pull at all. if it is my wastegate is there a way that i can check to see if it is stuck? just throw some ideas at me becuase im lost Please Help!!

I'd start by reading the code and checking the wastgate actuator.

yea go to autozone and pull the code, you'll find out for sure alot faster whats throwing the CEL. The CEL problem may not be your boosting problem though.

Are you just not getting any boost, or you car just doesnt feel fast ?

I don't know if AutoZone is going to be much help with 1G OBD1 codes.
It's pretty trivial for 1G guys to read codes.

Well my car is running like kawk today too, i think my wastegate is stuck.

Time to check that POS. Damn MONEY PITS !
