Just bought a 97 gst with this mods and i hit 20psi between 4200-4300 in 3rd gear. Is it because of the fp2 cams? My boost tester is in my other car, so i wont be able to do a test till end of the week.

Pte 50 trim- non BB
fp2 cams
680cc injectors
adfx front mount
turbotrix 95 ported manifold with 38mm tial
ported evo 3 02 housing
megan 3" down pipe with qtp cut out with digi auto switch
255 walbro h/p fuel pump

Does this car have a boost controller? If so, then your boost pressure depends on the boost controller setting. If you do not have a boost controller and the wastegate actuator is connected directly to the turbo's compressor housing or some other boost pressure source, then your boost pressure depends on the wastegate actuator rating.

That doesn't sound too far off. FP2 cams make slightly more power at a slightly higher RPM than the HKS 272s but have a nice friendly idle. I have a friend with a similiar setup, hitting 16ish psi by about 4000 with a non-BB 50 trim. Obviously still do the test and check for any pre-turbo exhaust leaks, you can use seafoam to test for that, you should probably use it anyway to clean the carbon out of the engine.

Come on guys! That is terrible! I get better than that w/ a 60-1 compressor wheel (cams dialed straight up no SMIM or head work, evo3 exhaust mani). The PTE 50-trim comes w/ the same turbine i have. I'm not bragging at all because I've seen guys hit 20+ psi by 3600rpms w/ hks 272s (like fp2s w/ MORE duration). . . You have a leak at the least.
