Hello to everyone
Car is a 1995 Eagle Talon Tsi
Looking for some advice, have had a recurring problem with car ever since i purchased it 3 years ago.
Seems like boost is just blowing off around 5k rev range, when going on WOT. Car does this sometimes and other times rolls normally with boost right until the redline. Not sure where to look for the problem, and looking for some advice on what to check for.
Car is currently running FMIC with a supposed 255 in the tank, as well as a full 3 " exhaust and with high flo cat.
Currently running a 16g turbo besides the 255 supposedly in the tank no fuel upgrades what so ever.
Car is tuned using the old school GM Maf translator. Yes i know DSM link but finding a eprom ecu is hard where I'm located in Nova scotia and there aren't really any around to try and find one. Hence why I'm hear
I have not tuned it, the shop I normally take car to for work I cant do tuned it, and very reputable local dsm guy.
Boost gauge is reading 12 psi, oil pressure seems fine.
When the boost blows off or lets go the car seems to just drop power as I wait for it to build back up, as well the car seems to just jolt almost as if the brakes were hammered on.
Not sure if it might be fuel cut or boost creep, boost leak etc as I am somewhat new to the DSM 4g63t engine.
I will try to upload a video of real time.
As far as some questions that might come my way I have done all the maintenance fluids filters , anything the forms have mentioned as must do's before upgrading.
Appreciate all the replies or help that might come my way as a result of the post in advance.

It is actually over boosting. As i just took for test drive and could bring it all the way to redline line with no issue. But i looked at guage and was around 18 psi. Could i lovwer the boost with a MBC?

How about a picture of the engine bay, answers a lot of question that would normally be in a vehicle profile

Also need to know what size turbo and injectors you run.

Boost control would be needed to prevent over-boosting - yes
