I posted something similar before but never added to the equation the possibility of blow by. As I now have enough money to fix what I believe to be "valve seal" problems, a new symptom appeared 2-3 months ago. My "temp" 100 dollar eBay turbo got me around on my tight budget before I started seafoaming my car. Either way, the turbo now releases a good amount of oil on top of my valve seals (the compressor inlet is black with wet oil). I started seeing this on and off for a few weeks then it just became a permanent occurrence. Ultimately, the motor is a year old with brand new internals (2.3) and i finally saved enough money, but I'm nervous to spend all that money only to have the motor be damaged. Either way, here are the symptoms: the typical morning puff of blue smoke, then it clears until I drive for a bit, especially apparent at a red light...valves seals right? My oil dipstick has never blown out of the hole. Turbo has oil in compressor housing... blow by or damaged turbo? Has shaft play in and out but oil too? I did a compression test with a battery that had 12.0-11.6 volts and got a reading of 120 straight across. I'm sure with a fully charged battery those numbers should increase significantly as that's considered a discharged battery. The motor does have a relatively low idle vacuum of 18-19 hg at idle and even lower with the car in D at a light with foot on brakes ( I was told the motor was "cammed") the car is still very much powerful.
Some solid advice is much appreciated at this point. Thanks
