I have about 3k miles on this freshly built block. Changed the oil a week ago and very minimal glitter in the oil. Barely noticeable when you swirl the oil. Anyhoo, is this amount of blow by normal on a fresh build?

The amount in the glass is only 1 of 2.

Tony,
Did the catch cans get that in a week since the last oil change or in the total of 3000 miles?
We can't exactly know the amount of blow-by gas from that. But it looks like you have a lot of water condensation/moisture. Maybe it's just where you live is still cold and humid, and also maybe you started the engine often but didn't drive the car long enough until the engine gets hot, also from E85? Anyways, it would depend on many factors, so I wouldn't be worried too much if the car is running fine and if you are not seeing any bad symptoms like smoke, overheating, abnormal pressure from crank case etc etc.

I haven’t touched the catch cans in 3k miles and it’s been on 93. As far as weather, it has been in the 40’s /50’s the past two weeks and 72 today LOL so it’s been mostly cold for that duration. There are times when I move the car out to do something in the garage or wash it but not too often. It’s usually driven if I started. A few times a week just a quick trip to the store which is 5-10 minutes away. But yeah, car has been good so I’m not going to worry about it. Thanks Hiroshi!!
