Bigger Brake Uprade Question

I have a NT and want to upgrade the brakes and I know you can use AWD and Stealth NT, but on an ebay auction a guy has listed big brake calipers and they're from a 1993 Diamante. Is that possible?

I have the AWD big brakes in the front. They were from a 95 AWD i believe. I did not need to get 17 inch rims, I'm on my stockers. You'll need to get a bigger rotor for them and a brake line. The AWD uses a screw type fitting while FWD use a banjo bolt. Its perfered to get Stainless braided anyways when you do your brakes. takes out a small amount of the mushyness. If you talk to Slowboyracing, they are good with getting the lines.

O yeah, I got my rotors at NAPA. 25 dollars a piece and they are great. I have a friend that runs a 91 MR2 turbo and i guess at his forums, NAPA has good rotors... thought I would throw that at you. I'm basically just using them because i'm fresh off the boat poor.

Just stick w/ the AWD or 3kgt brakes. You'll need 17 inch or bigger rims for the AWD ones though.

Sorry, but wrong on both counts. I picked up my 2 piston's from a 91 Diamante. You just need the bracket along with the caliper. I'm also running my stock 16's with no clearance issues. It's tight, but they do fit.

So if the price is right, go buy the Diamante calipers.

Don't buy the crappy NAPA $25 rotors. They are made with poorer quality alloy and will wear/warp faster. Go buy OEM rotors or some slotted aftermarket ones. As with all car parts, you'll get what you pay for.
