BIGGER brake upgrade, MY ROTORS TO SMALL!

Ok this is what I was told when I got the car...

"Bigger brakes up front from a Mitsu Diamante,92-94 AWD Pads/Rotors. And don't forget brake fluid. The Diamante calipers are the SAME as Stealth/3000GT N/T."

Today I went a bought front rotors for a 92 AWD Eagle Talon, and well when I got the current rotor off the car, the AWD rotor seemed to small (its about ... 1/4" inch GUESSING smaller in diam. then the current rotor on the car.) I can return the ones I bought free of charge and maybe exchange them for another set. I was told on here that all I would need is AWD pads and rotors but the rotors from what I see are to small (only replacing rotors, need to for inspections.).

The calipers in front a rather large, dual-piston ones. Either way I can't just use the AWD rotor. Which rotor should I get? (Got my wheel off now, hopgin to have someone take me to the auto-store again! HELP HURRY!)

My suggestion to you would be to make sure they gave you the big brake rotors. The 90 to 4-92 have smaller rotors than the 5-92 to 94. If that doesn't work for you then I would suggest buying the rotors for the Diamante and see what that does for you.

Yeah either way now that my car doesn't have a rotor on it I have to find someone else to give me a lift to the auto-store. Anyone in Frederick Maryland free!?

Good to know that they changed the rotor size from 90-early 92. maybe I'll ask'em about a 93 rotor to be sure. I've got it off the car now so I can bring it in and play match up.

If you read the VFAQ closely you'll note that to use the dual piston calipers you need the rotors from a '93+ DSM AWD, '91+ non-turbo Dodge Stealth / Mitsu 3000GT, or '92-'96 Mitsu Diamante.

Either way - 92's WILL WORK. Once I got back to the store, and another guy was pulling up the information (I had him check 93 to be safe.) I was given the REAR rotors.. (When I said front pair ... 5 times the first trip?) So I checked out of just wondering, and the 92 Rotors what Advance Auto carries are the same size as the 93's, and 94's. Either way I would just get 93's to make sure if anyone else reads and has to deal with it.

Got them on in less then 30 minutes, broke them in slowly, they work nice. The inspector should be happy... (... right.)

Now its time to drill the head tomorrow and helicoil it... WEEEEE.
