Bigger Brakes?

Are the brakes, front or rear, on a 91tsi bigger than on a 92gs?

Assuming that both vehicles in question are non-ABS cars, yes, will have the same front rotors, but the rear's are different. I dont know if the rears are bigger or smaller or it they will fit, but I know they have a totally different part number. I'm sorry, but I can't comment on the calipers.

All non-abs 1G's have the same front rotors, regaurdless if it is AWD or FWD, turbo or N/T.
All 2G FWD's also share the same front rotors as the non-abs 1G's.
All 1G turbo's share the same rear (even ones w/ ABS).
1G N/t's are different in the rear.
All 2G's (turbo, N/T, awd, fwd) have the same rears also, but are different from the 1G's.

Probably sounds kinda confusing, but I hope it helps.
