hate opening up a new thread but ive searched in dsm source. dsmtuners, and dsmtalk. and very rarely has anyone touched the subject on where to tee a boost gauge with a vacuum(inHG) as well. its hard finding the right thread too beacause the key words are BOOST and VACUUM and the search buttons thinks im asking for a vacuum hose location to tee the boost gauge:nono: anyways

i know for a fact that the best place to tee the BOOST gauge is in the fpr hose, BUT what if your boost has a boost AAAND VACUUM meter. will the FPR line work fine or will i have to put it somwhere else. im also starting this thread for future DSMers that are looking for the same answer and not mixed signals from people that say "i think" "it should" or "i know a guy that did it and it works":ohdamn:

if you guys have experience with a boost/vac gauge tell me your best location and experience. also some pics would be nice :sneaky: thanks guys and sorry about the thread:sosad:

FWIW the P port shows vacuum and pressure, one or both of the other ports (E,A) do not show vacuum though.[Don't remember which one right now]

I like dedicated sources, just a bit cleaner. But then again I don't have emissions ;)

^ Yep. Any source on the manifold or throttle body will read vacuum and boost, unless it has a check valve (like the E and A nipples). Dedicated sources not only look clean but also reduce the number of things that can fail at once, which is good practice on a DSM! But not everyone is lucky enough to lack emissions or safety inspections like us. :p

And just FYI, very few boost gauges don't include vacuum. In previous threads where someone asked where to connect their "boost" gauge it's just implied that vacuum is also a requirement.
