420A Bad oil pump

So I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already but I stopped reading oil pressure after my engine started to knock did a oil change idled it for maybe 5 mins and turnt it off still knocked took the bearings off the were not all that bad looked in the oil pump hole noticed the gear isn't in the middle it's more to the one side noticed that didn't seem right took my new oil filter off and yup not a drop of oil this means the oil pump went out correct ?
 
I noticed something while under the car. My 3rd rod is back wards I know for a fact the piston is facing the right way tho the one rod being the different way does that matter at all it been driving perfectly fine till the oil pump went out is that bad or
