I just bought a 96 2g Talon, minor upgrades nothing huge, kind of more as a cheap project... well after I drive it, after about 20 minutes I go look under the car I see a few drips here and there of oil. I looked all around and valve cover is good, turbo is fine through the intercoller, no oil in the piping, but my oil pump is soaked in oil. I tried taking pictures but it wont let me upload them... I am new to this site btw, so I've heard nothing but great things about this website and am hoping I can get some help from someone thats had similar issues. Thanks in advance for the help

How do you know it's the oil pump? You have the timing cover off? Also to load bigger pics first send to yourself in a email. This will let you resize them and make the file smaller. Then try to load but ya we really need pics.

And once it hits normal running temp it smokes because it leaks on the exhaust. The oil level is fine, oil pressure gauge is fine. But if its this bad after running im sure while I'm driving it, it's got to be letting more go...

That is the oil filter housing, the oil pump is located under the timing cover. It looks like you may be leaking from more than one spot. I would take each fitting off, clean the housing with brake cleaner/rag, clean up the fittings and re-install them. Be sure to be careful when re-installing each fitting it is easy to over torque which will crack the housing.

How does oil drip from the housing on to the exhaust? The exhaust runs next to the housing not under it.

My fault haha that's what I meant, long night sorry. Do you know what the i should be torquing them to?

^^ why I asked for a pic :) was thinking you meant ofh! ;) You really need to do a timing belt job bro and change all the seals under it! Also looks like the oil feed for turbo maybe leaking. Best bet is to clean everything off and start fresh so you can see where the leak actually is.

Haha thanks man i appreciate it a lot. I'm going to go out here soon and clean. It off and take it apart. How big of a job is it? Like how time consuming? I have work in like 6 hours LOL I know i can make it to work like this but if i get half way through this there's no way LOL
