toronto,
Just got back my head and on one of the lifters I can push down on it as the pressure on just one is weaker then the rest but it comes up agaon on its own so it has somewhat of pressure

Is this normal?

It may have just lost pressure. If you install the head and let it idle it should get pressure. It is not hard to switch them out with the head installed if it does not pump up.

I just swapped all 16 of mine today with the head on , valve cover off..lay a atowel over every area you're not working on (at least what you uncover taking the VC off) the i usea prybar and a screwdriver to take em out. nd if you bleed the new ones down enough and turn the motor to the right place for each set (you cna do like 4 at a atime on each position) wihtout even having to force them in, just slide em on in.. but before starting it crank the motor until the lifters get oil enough to pump up good.. you don't want collapsed lifters falling out of place in your running motor
