Rear drum JB

Ordered a replacement clutch pack Jeff didn’t ship the pressure plate we had to wait …. I went with stock rear drum and sent it

Tested everything trans pressures shift link and all

Holy $hit man, I know it’s not easy to post the set backs, i admire your dedication to this thing. Hopefully the rest of 2023 gets better and better! You’ve got one BAD A$$ dsm:rocks:
Thank you.

I take it as a learning experience. Got greedy with the nitrous in 3rd and not enough injector therefore it melted. I’m sure this happened over time after to pull after pull.

I will tune around this current setup not have the nitrous on in 2nd or 3rd get the launch dialed in.

Maybe later I’ll add another 4 injectors and direct port nitrous … but for now my let me walk before i can run …

When i melted the head some aluminum got welded to the deck of the block.

Checked for flatness and had a high spot.
With muriatic acid it softened the aluminum and used red scotch pad. After I was done with the affected area i neutralized the acid with baking soda.

Now just waiting for the head to be done…

How much boost and timing were you running?
My son melted a piston in #3 and I was going to use sulfuric acid in that cylinder to try and get it broke loose. Is muriatic acid a better solution?
Love the "monster"!!!
Marty
Thanks ! Muriatic acid i have access to it at Home Depot.
