Alright so I have a 95 GST with a 7 bolt 4g63 motor and the tranny is going bad. Where I live is a lot of snow in winter. How much work/money is involved in doing an awd swap? I know where I can get an awd tranny from a 1g talon.

The 1g transmission won't work. If you are serious, plan on buying an AWD parts car. If you can do everything yourself, $2,000 sounds reasonable to me

How much work? There are several threads that go into detail step by step on what to do.

If you have to ask how much work it will be, the conversion may not be for you.

My AWD shell I got for $600, then built TRE trans and clutch/flywheel cost me $1100 (brother discount).

My Spyder AWD swap should be done within two weeks :)

There are many forums with some great directions on how to do it. Its not easy, but if you got the right tools and mechanic skills, you can do it. Best bet would prob be to be patient and keep your eyes open for an AWD parts car...thats what I did for 400 bucks! Read/search up on it...then make a decision from there.
