i found someone selling an apexi neo pretty cheap. im thinking about picking it up. how big of an injector can i use with it? i have 650's right now, im going to be installing a 20g and i want to go with bigger injectors

I've heard Apexi's should really only be used on 550's or 650's, anything bigger than that you need to step up to something a little more complex. Apexi's only tune idle and WOT, then average those out when your just cruising. So I'm thinking if you go to bigger injectors, at cruise it'd be all out of whack. Besides if you get something like DSMLink you can do all sorts of fun stuff.

ive been told 550cc is the max or the evo 560's is the most to run safely because the bigger the injector the more time it pulls causing problems... but if im wrong some one please correct me ;)

yes i agree with him ^^
save up and get dsmlink, there is alot more you can do with dsmlink and sooner or later you would have to upgrade out of the noe anyways...save time and money!

i was going to get the A-PEXi S-AFC II but realized it cant do what dsmlink can for when i would tune and mod more down the road and realize it was just giong to be a waste!

DSMLink all the way! ;)

Also, another note on apexi neo's....
i bought mine fairly cheap, and i found out after that mine had the "karman" bug.
Some of the early generation neo's apparently were/are not compatable wit dsms because they dont read the sensor correctly. check the serial number on yours, if its >13800 (im pretty sure thats the number) then yours is not compatible, i believe the fixed ones also say "karman compatible" on the back as well.
just throwing that out there so that you were warned.
as for your original question, ive been told 650cc are the MAX and that u really are already pushing your luck w/ 650s.
I'd say go link or even get a keydiver chip.

I know this is kind of a new theory, but there is a lot of work being done with the compatibility of the evo 8 ecu working in our cars. I'm not 100% on the ease of the swap, but i believe it is RRE doing the research. I have read up a little on it and am very interested in the idea of being able to do what ecmlink ($600+) can do for around $200- $250. There may have even been a few members on this site that have tried it if they want to chime in......
