Hey guys I want to know who is running the dsm grave yard 274 cams and how they like them, how good they work, results, setup etc . I am making an order for the cams and getting my head built by them so i just want to know what i am getting my self into with the cams. my build consist of 6 bolt bottom 7 bolt head ,Evo3 manifold, hx35, arp head studs. so i want to make sure the 274 cams will work nicely in conjunction with my set up. thanks

I am running a similar cam in my set up. Alittle more aggressive. Idle is mean and I never stop making power. I like mine alot.

awesome do you have any logs or dyno sheets you'd like to share:thumb: since you have a similar setup im going for.. you know to give me something to look forward to with all this down time im looking at:cry:

i saw those and was wondering how they sound or if anyone has used them

Ya I have some logs. Do you have dsmlink? These are the Strictly Import Motorsports 275 grind.

Good luck man, it took them 4 months and A LOT of BS to build my head

I have DELTA 274's that DSMGV calls their "own", but they grind the cams for GV. My Car is not running yet I'm sorting out all the plugs and wiring for the 6bolt swap but when it's running I'll give my results. I'm kind of worried because of the "power-band" of these cams running a 16'g. DSMGV kind of suckered me into getting them instead of 272's, they told me "the only cam they have in stock was the 274's"....funny how 4 weeks after them telling me that I accidentally receive a set of 274 cams at my doorstep from DELTA CAMS, "in stock" my a$$...

Wow sorry to hear that . Well i hope mine doesn't take that long they received my head today and john said they will do their best to give me a quick turn around as this is my daily, but we will see what happens.

Don't get your hopes up... He will always tell you what you want to hear. Took me 6 months'ish to straighten on a short block. Then in the end I didn't get everything I wanted. I just don't understand that when their are so many bad reviews about a company people keep going back.. ie sbr, dsmgraveyard

From what I've heard, good luck with that head build. Prepare to find sand everywhere. And cams by Delta. Not a bad thing, 274s sound nice.

I've only ordered OEM parts from them, and everything's been fine. YMMV, as they say.

I dont understand how a buisness can send out a part causing other parts to fail like the way they clean there stuff. That makes no sense to me what so ever. Word of mouth spreads quick today with the internet..

Wow i dint know they had bad reviews like that I have only dealt with them once and i ordered the front sub frame to my 1g gst because i launched and it ripped the sub frame in half(POWA!!):sneaky: and they sent the one to the gsx instead of the gst. I had to pay to send it back they said they would give me the credit and never did yet so when my order is complete i will see of they will take off the difference.

Sounds awfully familiar, order a 7 bolt head one time and received a 6 bolt head instead. Paid to send it back and just got a total refund on my card(for the price of the head) because I was able to find one local. Never got a refund on shipping.

The only reason I have these cams is because I was sponsored by them at the time of assembling my motor, but when all heck broke loose and all the info leaked out about their techniques and service, I left. Strictly Import Motorsports has cams that will sound about the same and perform better but for a lot cheaper. I will probably be switching to their cams within the next year or so. Better to have current sponsor cams in than previous sponsor, would do it now but I finally got it started and dont wanna rip them out LOL

damn, glad i read this< i had a customer give me his damaged head that i replaced. I told him when we pulled the cams that " it looked like it had sand in it when the cams were put in" (bad bad journal scarring), guy said the head was built and assembled at the graveyard (which i thought was just a junkyard and apparently is )

But anyway, they were regrind cams that ikept forewver trying to figure out what they really were and finally tossed out... litterallly the head looked like there was a huge grain of sand on the cam journal when it was installed (and now my thouhgts may be accurate )

anyway... just replied because this thread and that link finally made some sense out of some things for me.

the head was so bad that i only use it as a jig for welding intake and exhaust manifolds and for mock ups or to use as a "hat" for my spare 6 botll block

Now i'm wondering if that back woods port job was done by them or if a die grinder fell into the port while powered up LOL

And i will usually salvage a head if i can and have another one in the shopo to get fly cut on the caps and re align bored, but the graveyard head was just beyond me wanting to mess with
