An article about Gull-wing 1G

Just sharing an article in a Japanese magazine.

The gull-wing 1G Eclipse in the article is the one Mitsubishi Japan made for a TV series. The base car was a USDM GS Turbo (GS-T) which Mitsubishi Japan imported from the States for this purpose.
After that, Mitsubishi motors Japan sold 10 more (some say 12 more) gull-wing 1G Eclipse on the general market in Japan. Those 10 were based on JDM models (GSX (GSR-4) or GS). And no rear seat and it's 110kg heavier.

I wonder if there are any of these special cars left.. could some one import one back to the US or Canada ... It would be nice if some one was able to make a kit that could convert a stock GSX to the Gull Wing Doors. or any of the Eclipse?Talon Models..It`s okay to dream.....

For sure at least 2 of them left. They both are the one used for the TV series, so those should be GS-T. Also I have heard that a private collector has one. If it's true, at least still 3 left.
And GS, GS-T and GSX were used for this. The GS-T ones were USDM cars imported from the States since GS-T were not sold in Japan.
The shop that owns one of those opens it to the public. So you can actually go there and see it if you have a chance to go to Japan someday.
