420A Accidentally shifted into second instead of fourth

I was driving down the road in 3rd about to hit 3000 rpm which is usually when I shift gears (I don't really rev high each gear) into fourth and I accidentally shifted Into second instead. I let off the clutch before I realized that I put it in second and the rpm's shot up to around 4000-4500 maybe almost 5000 I'm not sure, In third I was probably going around 40 mph. After that I quickly put it in neutral then into the right gear. My car drove fine after, I just want to make sure that it's not too bad to do that. Atleast I wasn't revving too high.

What you did won't hurt it. Had you not caught it you can definitely exceed the electronic rev limiter and tear up who knows what.

^^^^This. You didn't even approach the stock (*safe*) rev limit of the car. You "caught it" before that.

No misfires now? Now noises? You're most likely fine, and I wouldn't worry about it either.
