I recently purchased a 97 Eclipse GSX Auto without an engine. The car is bone stock with 133K miles. The transmission was rebuilt 4K miles ago by AAMCO with paperwork. Since the car did not come with an engine I figured I would use one of the six bolts I had. My goal for this car is a part time daily driver. I want something extremely dependable but I also want something fun on the street. I want to maintain all the comforts of A/C, heat, power steering and cruise control. I would like to eventually have this car running high 12s to very low 13s. Here is my part list so far. Please feel free to let me know what you think and any changes you would make.

I have read when doing a 6 bolt with a 2g trans an adapter is required or a specific flexplate. I was just pointing that out since I didnt see anything listed above. I may be mistaken but also when I talked to ER they told me I would need something to run a 2g trans on my 1g engine. I would suggest rods bolts since you already have the engine out and apart well IDK if its apart but you know what I mean.

I think that should get you close to your goal especially with the right tune on the car. Link would be a great tuning solution, and its always nice when going to diagnose a car when you have issues

What boost level would you recommend with this setup? At first the car will be ran on 93 pump, but later on down the road I have plans to switch to E85. Also, do you think the HKS 264s will be effective with the auto or is it not worth it at this level? I would like to build boost rather quick on the stall.

Sorry I forgot to list the Kiggly 6 bolt in a 2g auto flexplate. I already have this part. Thanks for the heads up though.

They arent talking about the flexplate, they are talking about the adapter plate that bolts to trans and 6 bolt block. It spaces out the trans so the torque converter doesnt destroy the trans pump.

Thanks, I understand that and already have this kit from Kiggly. I forgot to put the word "Kit" in that sentence. Nice build thread btw :hellyeah:
