Im in the middle of reconditioning a 1993 7 bolt head and im planning on mating it to my 6 bolt block. Ive read that the stud holes have to be brought out 1mm to fit it correctly..and I will be using ARPs. The guys who have done this: Did you send it off to the machine shop to have them enlarged?..Or is this something I can do on my drill press? Ive searched but I need a thorough explaination on how to go about this... Solid input would be appreciated! Thanks

I used a 1/2" drill bit in a press. It works fine. The dowels are what line up the head anyway. If it was making new holes in a piece of stock i would say it needs the precision of a machine shop. But, you are only widening existing holes so the precision required is less.
