I was wondering if a 6 bolt head will fit on a 7 bolt block? I was told that the only difference is that they have different size head bolts by 1mm. If they can work what modifications need to be done?

I ask cause I was just informed on a GREAT deal:hellyeah:on one but I have to act fast to get it.

THANKS ALOT FOR THE INPUT/HELP

You will need the 1g intake also.

If you have the front mounted cam sensor, there are no bolt hole to mount it on a 1g head. You will have to do some rewire work.

The intake ports will be bigger on the 6 bolt then they would be in the 7 bolt. Will you also be getting the 6 bolt intake manifold?

More air flow yes please:D
I just picked up my gsx a few weeks ago after turboing a 420a motor and now I have all the ins and outs of the 4g63 motor to learn. Good thing Im in the right placeROFL

I am running a 7 bolt block with 6 bolt head. Also switch to a 1g CAS so I can adjust timing. So yes you can swap heads and it works great!

Pretty sure the hard wiring of crank angle sensor turned into cam angle sensor can be done easy plug and play style for about sixtyfive bucks. There is a adapter harness from RRE. Back in the day this mod was only possible if you dug into the harness and hardwired the cas. Now days id rather pay the sixty bucks and be done with it.

It literally takes about 20 minutes to make a CAS harness. You don't have to hard wire anything into the harness. You just need to cut the pigtails off the cam and crank sensors, and wire them into the the CAS. There are 4 wires total, ground, power, and 2 signal wires.

If this is going in a 2g with a 7 bolt bottom end there is no need for a 1g CAS anyway. A 97-99 CAS can be used easily.
