1G 92 plymouth laser starting issue.

Hello, I bought a 1992 plymouth laser rs, and it refuses to start. I have so far changed the starter, battery, and spark plugs. When I put the key in the "on" position all it does is make a constant clicking noise, or like a relay turning flipping on and off. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

check the MPI/MFI relay, should be under the center console on the passenger side.
does the car turn over and not fire, or does it not even crank?

Doesn't even crank turn the key to run nothing happens

take off the knee bolster and steering column plastics, then test your ignition harness in all positions to make sure you have proper voltage. I don't recall the colors but I can get them for you tomorrow.

U could short cut to checking the solenoid on the starter is getting voltage when you turn the key to run as well

Check all your grounds and make sure they test good with continuity. Past that I don't recall if there is a starter "relay" so check the under hood fuse box for one and verify if it's working.

With vehicle blocked/lifted/park brake set check if getting voltage to starter solenoid in crank. Or apply 12v with a wire while key on and see if it will start and run or if it shuts down

Okay there is a contious ticking coming from the throttle body sensor, any ideas why that wouldnt cause it to start?

Have you read the no-start guide?

If it won't even crank I would start looking at the battery, terminals, and work from it through the power distribution system from the manual.

When you turn the key on to accessory does the IPC light up? If everything is dark and nothing happens pull the ecu and check it's condition.
