You win you win. I'm not here to argue with you about whatever you are trying to say.

Just big respect to these guys and they have revealed enough. Put me in the list of supporters not nay sayers.

Now can we please not nit pick every little thing I type.

I'm sorry if it came across like I'm trying to win but I just wanted to point out that it takes money to play with the big boys. As for the wingz car 100whp with the same turbo on a stroker is not a good thing :(

Not to mention that terrible top end with power diving around 6500

The car isn't 100hp shy. It's very close to his numbers, and isn't running stock compression as opposed to whatever crazy number Curt is running. The compression difference probably makes up for the displacement difference. And the power doesn't drop off like that graph states. An off the shelf cam on a 2.4 is going to do that. But bigger one's will help the topend a lot. Expect VERY close numbers when the car is dyno'd at 40psi like Curts. All of this is happening at 32 to 33psi on the same turbo. Not 40.

I would not doubt it could or will but it hasn't yet. Moral off the story is you pay to play. Wether you pay now or later you will pay. I have seen tons of guys brag about how they went fast cheaper than the next guy and then part out their cars when stuff breaks from skimping. Curt broke a dss rear axle if your budy is going to make close to his hp and have more tq how long you think his stock axles will hold up??? Food for thought

They aren't stock axles. They are DSMGraveyard one's. Just a strong and 1/2 the cost. Did you read my post? I never said you didn't have to pay to play. You just stated Curt wasn't using high $$$ stuff, when in reality everything he has, is the best of the best and the most expensive choice. I was just showing that you don't need a $1200 manifold or $850 driveshaft or $1,999 rear axle's when there are options out there that do just as well for a fraction of the cost.

Like I said when the wingz car puts down consistent 1/4 mile times with power that pulls all the way till redline like curt with these parts you speak of then we will see but you are saying this car "can" do what you say not this car "does" what you say it will.

By the way you make it sound like your buddy's car is a budget beater. I think he too spent a good amount of money on his build and def doesn't fall under "average dsmer". I love how you left out the fact your friend has a shep stage 4 trans QM clutch AEM EMS and those off the shelf cams are comp400s.

Edit: By the way I don't want to try and make it seem like Curts parts are junk just that a statement was made that made it seem like his numbers were just because of high dollar parts. I merely wanted to point out anyone making big power like this has coin into his car this isn't some astronomically expensive car.

That is what it "does" as you say. The car has a new owner and he is more of a street racer guy and hasn't made it back to the dyno yet. And as far as parts, Shep Trans was used, QM clutch was used, no longer on AEM EMS but DSMLink, comp 400s are off the shelf cams, not a custom grind.

Your friend has a bad ass sled man no doubt I don't want to down play it or make you think that it's not worthy of praise, I just think our outlook on a lot of money and average dsm cars is different which is not a sin. I feel agreeing to disagree would be appropriate. :thumb:

Probably LOL. But his car is a testament too that high dollar stuff is NEEDED on some things. But not all.

Hp cost, racing heads up isn't cheap. Learn to live with it. Who cares who spent what on what. We all build our cars how we want. Let's stop comparing cars of people we don't even know and agree these cars are badass.

The compression on the origional car in question was posted on another board, I'm having a hard time finding the post due to sucky search engines.... It was said that the car was 11.5 compression.

I didn't even notice this till now but the car picked up like 30whp and like 100ft/lbs of torque from the last numbers!!!! That's nuts usually our cars will just in hp and not a lot in tq.

Car looks weak out of the hole....needs more converter. That and I would turn the 5th cylinder on for first gear instead of running on only 3 till second unless you want to run a 5" kompressor pulley in first then switch to a 4" real quick on the shift to second.

Totally parted out. The engine went to Brad Gary, who installed it the Monday before the Shootout and won the Quick 16 class with luck on his side the following Sunday.

I know someone who may end up with the shell, actually.

Wow what a shame, I didn't see that coming. Atleast the engine is being put to good use, that's a plus I guess.
