7cm Turbine housing

I hope it was abundantly clear to "them", that I will accept nothing less than what I paid for. Considering they told the OP no dice on an OEM housing, I expect that they will refund my money. If I wanted a knockoff I could spend a hell of a lot less for one. LOL

Thank you JusMX141 for sharing your unparalleled and experienced knowledge of MHI turbos.

If you checked the like that Paul posted in post 2.You would have seen that when i got my turbine housing the castinfglooked wonderful..But the bolt holes were definatly off, just like the last set of pictures that were posted.

The place i got mine from was and still is selling knockoff godspeed rejects. They also are selling these rejects from about 3 different ebay seller names. And the housings are sent from gosdpeed with the sellers name, and godspeeds address.

My total cost was over 100$ for the housing and shiipping back..But since it was sent from godspeed and not the sellers address, there. Was a "mixup" and the return was lost, and never refunded.Noe its too late to open a claim with paypal.Which i was told months ago to do,but somehow thought the seller would make it right. So 100$ down the drain as a semi pricey learning experience.

Yeah Bud, I looked at the link way before I bought that so-called OEM one, which was my main reason for not even trying to buy one off ebay. I didn't want the hassle of having to deal with returning some POS, and hoping to get money back.

When I received that housing, I had recently had surgery and was on pain meds, so I could hardly see straight anyway. Which is also why I had yet to attempt to install it. I did have a sneaking suspicion that it was a knockoff, but honestly didn't notice the misaligned bolt holes.

I've only ever had the O2 housing off from my old 14b, from my first DSM, which I tossed that housing years ago because it was cracked bad. I hope to have that 14b rebuilt by Justin.

Justin does a fantastic job btw.

I happened to have an o2 housing sitting in the house when i got my turbine housing.and befor i got a chance to try and bolt it up.I gave a good look at the bolt holes..They were staggered and you could visually see they were wrong.Live and learn right.ROFL

^ I bought one of the same ones, luckily my bolt holes were closer to be on par. They were only a little off, so I just port matched it, and welded on a vband on the outlet, so it worked out well.

I looked around for either a new or used 7cm housing for you and couldn't find anything. The only new housing I have is attached to an EVO III 16G. I can sell you the housing for 999$ and it comes with a free turbo :)

Nice to see that with these hard times there is a vendor stepping up and giving away free turbos with every housing purchase. :hellyeah:

But after all this not enough nickel in the cast, cheap paper weights, knock off going for to much looks like I am staying with my 6cm getting it ported and calling it a day. Thank you everyone for the suggestions and your time

I did some searching and found out the 14b has a 6cm and all the 16g turbos have 7cm housing sorry for asking such a dumb question. I couldnt find what size the 20g housing is thought.

The bolt on housing of the 20g is usually the same 7cm housing.

For today only I'll even sell you a Housing with a free turbo and FP Race Manifold all for the low price of 999$

Seriously though I got 3 16G's to sell that come with free FP Race Manifolds.

Talked to Ralph from turbochargers.com, he said 3-4 month wait for a 7cm turbine housing from Mitsubishi.

Part# 49178-14790, cost $400+

14b 6cm

7cm housing do not come on all 16g's.Small 16g's come with the 14b 6cm housing. The big and Evo 3 al both 7cm.

Justin you cleaned up the wrong post.I had to redo this one;)
Thanks for trying to tell me how to do my job, but I knew what I was doing.

I've never seen a Small 16G with a 6cm turbine housing unless someone put it there. ALL 16G's come with 7cm turbine housings from the factory.

Your the one that told me that.

Any time i can irritate you and help you do your job at the same time. You just let me know;)

How do I measure the housing.I have a small sitting in the bedroom and a 7cm also in the bedroom.

You've got to be shitting me. I'm sure I said right but you heard wrong.

So do you want to edit your post above or do you want me to remove it before someone happens across this thread and gives you negative rep? It was already reported for misinformation so it's only a matter of time.

Don't measure anything- look at the number on the housing.

11020/11820 = 6cm
11830/13700 = 7cm
12050 = 8cm

Goood god batman.!

I knew a measuring tape would come in handy.

Small 16g turbine hole outlet 51mm.11020 housing.
7cm turbine hole outlet 61mm.I don't have mhi housing.
An just for fun a 13g turbine outlet hole 51mm.12800 housing.

Me hearing wrong is most lekely what it is.But there are the part numbers and what they measure out to right there.

It also can't be misinformation since the housings are right in fron't of me.Except an actual mhi 7cm housing.

The 6, and 7cm refer to the actual area in cm^2 of the opening of the volutue, not the turbine entry.

some people just don't like reading

what size housing does the 14b come with and what does the 7cm housing come one besides the evo 3.
^^^^^^

Looks like I found a good used 7cm for an awesome price will post pics once it arrives.
Also got a quote from Hahn Racecraft, the price is very good, trying to contact them to see if it is an actual MHI. Will keep you posted.

Has anyone used, or know of someone who has, a Kinugawa turbine housing to convert an E3 16g from Mitsu to a Garrett bolt pattern? Specifically this one: Kinugawa Turbo Turbine Housing TD05H 8cm / AR61 / T25 / V-Band / External Gate

I'm told that the v-band on the Mitsu center section slides far enough into the housing to allow for a Garrett style bolt-on type of connection there. My latest project is not a DSM, and there are far more manifolds with Garrett flanges than Mitsu for it so I'm curious.

Just got an email back from Hahnracecraft and they stated in the email "yes all of our turbos and turbo parts come from Mitsubishi of North America." and the price they quoted me is extremely reasonable.
