Right.the mystery is if it was there before I pulled the engine/rail.
That's what I've been told too, about the 10 micron stainless mesh filters. Was told that by either STM or by Fuelab, can't remember which.I’ve read they’re not serviceable and should be replaced
.
, my filter is also under the car, I’m willing to bet the goo formed once the other end of the line was disconnected/exposed to air. Anyways I’ve been running pump e85, which is e70ish in my neck of the woods for over 10 years and never had an issue, just thought I’d post my findings for awareness I guess
I remember that one. Unless you've had another one since the one I remember !I had fuel issues on the Red car, going lean bad. Here is my FuelLab filter. I couldn't blow through the thing. I put a new element in and its getting plenty of fuel now!

I'll be darned.Different CAR Different Filter element. The other was on my Blue Auto car. Weird as hell.

E85 removes ALL oil from anything. I've had gas on my hands before and washed them with E85 and all the smell is gone, along with the oil in my skin.If I remember correctly Marty you were dealing with the black slime right? Again I’ve read that whatever is in your tank e85 will get it clean
.
, also went ahead and filled my rear diff.

The disheartening issue I ran into today was noticing for the first time the kiggly flex plate was touching a portion of my oil pan. I looked it up and of course it’s been addressed before, apparently with people just shaving/beating the oil pan, not gonna lie I was a bit bummed cuz kiggly’s website/w4a33.com doesn’t mention ANYTHING about this issue, I read about the rear main housing modification, and took care of that, but go figure
. No I took a flat head screw driver and mallet and gently tapped it between the flex plate and oil pan. It worked alright, it’s still barely touching at one little point but I figure once the engines running it’s gonna wear and make its own clearance
Anyways tomorrow I’ll install the driver side axle/halfshaft, then start on the timing belt
