Hey I have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gst, I'm currently finishing up the 6 bolt swap, just wondering if I reuse the 2g cas or keep the 1g cas???? I did install the 6 bolt kiggly trigger sensor and have deleted the balance shafts

Solution
Can you get the late 2G Cam Angle Sensor to fit on the 1G head? If so that and the Kiggly Crank sensor should be the least confusing to the 98 ECU.
What ECU are you going to run? That's part of the equation as is what head are you using the 1G head or a 2G head?
It's 1g head and I was ganna use the stock gst ecu from the 1998 eclipse sorry forgot to include that

I have the 2g CAS from my old 7 bolt would that work?

I'm not sure that it mechanically fits. I assume so because people put a 1G CAS in the same place on a 2G head. Using it will avoid wiring a 1G CAS and make sure your cam timing is 100% what your ECU expects.

I couldn't find any threads on using it so hopefully someone can pipe in or you will try it and see.

That's the setup I'm running at the moment: 6 bolt swap in my 2g with 2g CAS and also running the 2 tooth Kiggly Racing trigger sensor, a year later and still no any single issue so far.
Alright thanks!!!! I'll go ahead just use a 2g CAS sensor

Been running a 2gb CAS and Kiggly Racing crank sensor (2 tooth one, the other one won't work for link) for about 5 years now. The 2gb CAS is the one that is fixed on the intake camshaft opposite side of the cam gears.

The 95-96 CAS is the one that bolts to the head behind the intake cam gear. As previously stated people have used 1g CAS on 2g heads before I think it's safe to say it can work the other way around as well. At least for the 2gb sensor. I don't know if the 2ga sensor would bolt to a 1g head though.
