Ok so here is the deal,

I have a 90 6 bolt, using 1g coil packs and everything is hooked up. The car is turning and firing but not starting. There is also a clicking/poping noise when the car is off. The car has new plugs that came out with black fuel so we changed the fuel. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

revers your fireing order on your coil back
so you 4-1 spark plugs are in the back. 2-3 coil pack ports
and 2-3 spark plug wires are in your 4-1 coil pack ports

the signal being sent from your cam angle sensor is invereted. try that
get back to me i completed this swop about a year ago with many problems that we worked threw
so i know it pretty well

we kept swaping the wires and it its about to crank but then right before firing it would almost stutter and stop. BTW: We have tried 2 sets of wires about 2 years old

I just finished this swap a month or so ago, I guess I was lucky. Didn't have any problems except I forgot to check the size of the flywheel and it was an awd flywheel.

What spark plugs and what are they gapped at?

Also describe the sound better. When you say it happens with the car off, all the time?

Do you have a datalogger? What are your coolant temps? If you're getting fuel and spark it sounds like your ECT could be ####ed

Just because you are getting fuel and spark doesnt mean that you are getting the correct amount of fuel. Do you have bigger injectors in it. Do you have it tuned to compensate for them.

How does the ecu look, have you checked it?
The coolant temp sensor is another possibilty?
Have you rechecked to make sure all sensors are hooked up?
Have you check timing? Make sure the timing belt did not jump a tooth.

Edit: I saw you are using the 1G coil packs. I believe you should not have to swap the firing order. I thought that was only for when you were using the 2G coil packs. Some one correct me If im wrong.

sounds like your CAS is 180 off. Take the CAS off and turn the flap 180 degrees and reinstall. Since your getting feul and spark, only thing else could be ignition timing. Make sure your plugs arent wet too.

OK, thanks guys I will get back to you guys after I try some of these suggestions. Thanks a lot.
