Why put topline pistons over eagle rods????????? Or any cast piston for that matter???????? BTW, Topline is not OEM. The OEM replacement is made by NPR. Who makes many pistons for Mitsu, Toyota, etc.

topline pistons are a stock replacement piston i never said they were OEM, about puting those on eagle rods, whats the poblem? i was never told you cant do that so i just assumed i could. so insted of asking me the question with 12 question marks wich dosent help me more, how about you educate me a bit on that.

also is there a way to get brand new oem rods? to match those pistons then?

Aftermarket rods use floating pins. So unless you have the stock replacement pistons machined for spirolox, or retaining clips, that setup wont work.

ok thank you for your input, since my hp goal is not that much, where could i purchase some new stock rods for my setup to work? and any inputs on topline pistons? anybody used those before? or should i got with NPR

I did help you through the socratic method hence the "???????" . Socrates however taught those that were willing to research an answer.

I'm a sucker and I'll try another method this once. . . Get junk yard 6bolt rods. J_U_N_K_Y_A_R_D rods. Just have them checked (bore on both ends). And press the topline pistons on to them. The eagle rods are wasted and the cost is completely unneccesary when 6bolt rods can handle a large percentage of TWICE the power output you're shooting for.

My mention of of the difference between topline (bottemline, in my book) and OEM pistons is for you also to research. Mainly in the QC issues of topline. I've personally have had no good success with much of anything from topline with over than stock HP levels. And you're shooting for at least 100hp over stock. I have had their cranks come apart, their oil pumps fail an refuse to take a chance on a slug that keeps a rod from going through a block especially when the rod costs as much as an eagle rod.
