500-600 horsepower build

well if it helps to make it easier I should have some where between 6-7k to spend on my motor build. or a little more I don't know yet.

You'll need every penny LOL. Every little thing adds up so quick. Add a tranny to that and you go deep in to the wallet

Do y'all have any good links to find a good turbo manifold, and other good parts for the motor build and I don't want Ebay parts.

i know of a BOOSTDRIVEN built turbo header that my buddy alex has just sittin on his work bench. its the same runner design as mine (have it pictured on page one of this thread) but this turbo header doesnt have as big of a collector (or plenum if you will) and it was made to run a internaly gated MHI turbo.

he could easily add a T3 footprint to it and add a wastegate feeder tube if you wanted? other-wise, would be a VERY NICE quality header that would put a internal gated MHI flanged turbo right on your engine problem free.

hell, a real live turbo header that allows for a diect bolt up "sport-turbo" might be a good idea? i dont know, shoot the guy a txt, he'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction. alex, 509-727-6433. his fab skills are out of this world, he is not greedy with price or cost and will go out of his way to get the job done for a complete stranger. he's the best guy i know for doin stuff like this.

get a BOOSTDRIVEN built turbo header, trust me, quality is right up there with the best of the best!

Possible Supporting Vendor? I did a quick Google search and came up with no user feedback.

One of my friends said he can get me an hx35/hx40 hybrid for a good price that would help reach my goal. But I've tried looking it if and can't find any info on this,if any one has any info would be great or is it better to leave the hybrid alone.

Depends what turbine housing is on it. The HX35 turbine can't even fully-support a HX35 compressor when using the Bullseye .55 a/r DSM bolt-on turbine housing, so using a larger HX40 compressor will add lag with no total airflow benefit. Now if it has a stock 12cm or 14cm twin-scroll housing, you may be on to something.

I don't know what type of housing it has, but I will ask him when I get the chance to.

There are a lot of similarities between our results. Same turbine wheel too. As I did the same thing back in ~2010. If I were to recommend that turbo.. it would be either as a bolt on or in a T4 1.xx housing. None of the in between options.

Where is power falling off for you? The T4 housing pulled hard through 9k on my setup. Occasionally found myself bouncing off a 9250 limiter :D

I need to go back to the dyno and run my car out to 8000rpm and see how the power curve looks. When I did the manifold/turbine housing change we just through it on the dyno as soon as we got done converting it over. I didn't have any time to dial in the VE with the new setup. I made one quick half pull saw I was lean and just through some fuel at it so we could make a quick pull with safe afrs. Peak torque which was pretty level was around 4500-5200rpm. It started falling hard around 6500 which was peak horsepower. Now that I have the car tuned I'll get a more true look at the power delivery with the fueling dialed in. That crazy drop in torque was partly from going rich rich on top, and maybe the stock intake manifold on a stroker:ohdamn::barf:

For the OP's goals I'd recommend bolt on or t3 .68-.70 ar setups. It'll really help you get the numbers your looking for without as much boost as going with the .55 AR.

With the bolt on or t3 .68-.70 ar setups, what is the difference in the boost with .55 AR. over the others.

Simple terms Is to imagine a small exhaust and a bigger one. It's all about the flow the smaller the a/r the less flow it has. The way I see it more flow equals higher hp. It all matters on your set up tho. I would start out at a smaller goal and work up to 500hp.

thats okay homeboy, im not a keybord cowboy or give 2 shits to really care about perfect spelling and shit, who cares, can you all read what Im sayin? ya. who cares, and all im sayin show me a 600awhp machine with a mitsu-in mitsi-out turbo? I wanna see. Landspeed, I know what you use, and it aint a mitsu footprint...

look at his photo, look at mine, Landspeed, please post yours too because its gonna look like mine!

THERES NO MITSU FLANGE AND NO CAST MANNI

these machines live and breath every day on the streets, this it what works. period.

ceedawg, please post your engine pic, i bet it looks like mine :)
