420a custom header idea..is it realistic

I've come across nothing but shorty 4-1 style headers and dc-sports 4-2-1. how ever I got the idea to make 1 out of 2. I really like the design of the b16 long tube 4-1 header. so I was thinking to chop off the flange and do what I need to do to line up the 420a flange, either bring the primaries closer together or father apart, or opening them up. what ever it needs i'm sure it can be fabricated. figured if it clears the oil pan i might chop up two ebay headers to make one . being about 50$ a piece it wont hurt to much. thoughts?

If you are going to do all that work, for a little bit more money, you could just buy a 420a flange and some piping and build your own that will more than likely last longer anyway. Look into building exhaust manifolds here on tuners and get some ideas.

yeah ive looked into flanges, they go for about 100$ by its self, and a piping kit at least 250$, funny how the v8 diy header kits are cheaper than the I4. Im on the fence with this idea, im not going to being dumping money into my 420a but being a gear head its in my nature to modify and fabricate . I'll see if I can search up some information
