3D Parts Files

THIS THREAD IS MEANT TO BE FOR PART FILES TO BE ADDED, NOT TUTORIALS OR A GUIDE !

In order to help the community, I thought it would be a great idea to have a main thread with all 3D print parts.
You need to specify the model, make of the car and some photos of the part (It would be great if you will post a photo with how the 3d printed part fits on the car).

It would be good if everyone who works in the field and models and prints 3D parts, post them here, so that we can give everyone the opportunity to complete their cars!

Just reverse engineering. Used CATIA to create the model. I used the OEM trim that I have to measure it and recreate my version. I really wish people will upload their models there! It should help everyone

Wish i could help here as well. I have never used any 3D CAD software like CATIA and don't have access to it. I bet a lot of us are in the same boat.
Although i have 3D printed lots and have a good grasp of how to slice and print high quality with various filaments, when it comes to designing i'm lost.

I have tried to 3D scan some parts with no success. With all the curves, contours, odd angles, etc - I just cant seem to get it to scan right.
I've tried scanning the radio bezel, and the spyder driver side door instrument panel bezel.
And this is using a kinectv2 on PC, with a couple different scanning softwares which all gave bad results.
Im sure me not having a studio setup with perfect lighting and backgrounds isn't helping. But i try to work with what i have.

If you can export the scanned parts to ".stp" , I can work with them and model it in Catia. No 3D scanning is 100% accurate. It's doable. If you wanna give me a try, just say

I went as far as painting the part white so the scanner can see it better.
I’ll give it another try soon and will do as you suggest.

Curious if 2ga sideskirt door trims are higher availability in Europe? The early 95-96 eclipse door trim pieces are very rare now in US. I know many 95-96 eclipse owners can not find replacements for these including myself and use either the 95-96 talon or 97-99 eclipse door trim pieces and it just doesn't look as good.

I recently purchased a FlashForge 5M PRO. Looks to scan defrost vents for the top of the doors and hopefully the recline knobs on the Evo Recaros. Got a couple other parts I’m sure will fall apart when I touch them but we’ll see!! Hoping to be very active in this thread!!

If you can scan them, I can accurately 3D model it. Looking forward to work with you.

That's really great. Your model is pretty accurate. I'll try to add the Mitsubishi Logo on it, and upload it after.
Also, there are some errors in the surface, I'll try to also fix them.

Still working on how I'm going to mount my dial indicator to my cam caps. I might end up just using the base on the strut tower but I really like the idea of having it in car, especially on something printed haha.

Just printed the trim with the elegoo mars 4, they fit like a glove. The lid is in the printer rn.. Thank you so much! Hopefully someone makes a model for the defroster thingy because as you may tell by the pic im in desperate need of a couple and I wouldnt even know where to begin on the drawing process.

working on it...but scanning the underside is being a real pain in the ass. I'll have something eventually...just a matter of finding the time to work on it.
