3D Parts Files

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

THIS THREAD IS MEANT TO BE FOR PART FILES TO BE ADDED, NOT TUTORIALS OR A GUIDE !

Discussion/Request Thread https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/3d-parts-discussion-requests.548798/

In order to help the community, I thought it would be a great idea to have a main thread with all 3D print parts.
You need to specify the model, make of the car and some photos of the part (It would be great if you will post a photo with how the 3d printed part fits on the car).

It would be good if everyone who works in the field and models and prints 3D parts, post them here, so that we can give everyone the opportunity to complete their cars!

@miliman13 - is it an exact replica or modified in some ways? I think I recall you mentioning something along those lines somewhere. People that download it may want to know whether it varies at all from original and, if it does, why.

Just curious. Overall, it matches closely to what I have.:thumb:

Hey thanks for asking, I was trying to keep the post as short as possible; these are an exact match in every way !!

The ID is a hair tighter than OEM which helps by gripping the bolt so it doesn’t slide of the rail when installing.

No special settings , offsets or post processing needed in print.

Recommend: PEGT or better @ 100% density

1g shifter bushings. Mine were pretty worn and didn't want to pay for any. So I whipped these up real quick in onshape and figured I'd share. Made them a little longer than the OEM ones to have some more support and hopefully last. I did all my test fitting and prototyping in ASA, which is the filament the final design will be used with on my shifter. Just for reference, it prints a lot like ABS and shrinks. So If you go to print these in PETG or PLA you may have to play with scaling/sizing a bit to make them work. Perfect fit with ASA printed at 250 nozzle 100 bed on an ender 3 v3 SE. (enclosed) The finished result has zero slop and perfectly free movement.

Good luck and happy printing.

Aftermarket 1G clutch master cylinder for vehicles without cruise control (hence the short reservoir) and minus the innards (springs and seals) as I didn’t get it completely disassembled yet. Also means the “body” isn’t completely detailed on the inside.

This thread was revived the other day regarding crank pulleys / harmonic dampers / harmonic balancers: 2G harmonic damper on a 1G.

Here’s my go at the 1G pulley.

Here’s my go at the 2G pulley. As @curt-s stated in that thread, overall balance is something to consider - the pulley I have had all of these holes in the front face / center hub section, presumably for balancing. Compare that to the pulley he posted pictures of that only has one.

It makes sense if they’re all balanced individually, so they have no negative effects when installed, regardless of the engine. I would hope that is the case.

Which would mean mine is still balanced and has more weight reduction.

LOL

Sun * visor *. Got it.

MR711724, MR761371, MR743416 or MR713179, depending on color. :thumb:

Here’s the Talon part numbers for ‘95-‘96, as a reference.

Can someone redo the stupid spring clips on the 2g rear that hold the rear trunk cover/parcel in? One for each side in front of the side of rear shock towers behind the seats.

The actual clip bits are metal, so probably not the best candidate for 3d printing. Probably wouldn't be too hard to bend some scrap in the right shape though.
You can get a good result if you print that clip with carbon reinforced filament. It should do the job, but you will have cut or grind a bit from the centering pin in order to get a constant thickness for the clip. I can try to do something.

From left to right:
MD713757 - Select Shaft Dust Cover Cap
MF430005 - M8 Nut
MF450405 - M8 Spring Washer
MF450154 - M8 Plain Washer
MD713416 - Plain Washer (19.5)
MD719165 - Bushing*
MD719962 - Select Shaft Lever (1990)
MD712919 - Select Lever Shoe
MD719165 - Bushing*
MD723339 - Select Shaft Dust Cover Base
MD719188 - Select Lever Shaft

All components except MD719962 are common to all F5M… and W5M… DSM transmissions. The bushing is estimated as I did not remove them from the Select Shaft Lever and did not have a new one available to measure.

Here’s the comparison of the 1990 lever versus the 1991-1994 lever (marked with H) and the 2G lever (marked with L).

1990 file is the full 1990 assembly pictured above.
1991-1994 and 2G files are the arms by themselves.

Not expected to be perfect, but close.

EDIT: Mitsubishi replacements for the bushing MD719165 were getting sparse last time I looked. Using the measurements I took, I think that this part available through Misumi USA is a 1:1 replacement of the original part: MDZF12-6.

Separate part numbers listed in the Eagle Talon and Plymouth Laser parts catalogue for the dates shown. Multiple posts by Tim suggest these are the same. I provided both files, just to include all part numbers and dates associated.

Impressive; using AutoCad ? Kinda looks like it; I’m only experienced with SolidWorks, and this doesn’t look like SW.
