3D Parts Files

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

THIS THREAD IS MEANT TO BE FOR PART FILES TO BE ADDED, NOT TUTORIALS OR A GUIDE !

Discussion/Request Thread https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/3d-parts-discussion-requests.548798/

In order to help the community, I thought it would be a great idea to have a main thread with all 3D print parts.
You need to specify the model, make of the car and some photos of the part (It would be great if you will post a photo with how the 3d printed part fits on the car).

It would be good if everyone who works in the field and models and prints 3D parts, post them here, so that we can give everyone the opportunity to complete their cars!

Shift cable bracket assemblies. Supposedly discontinued now so here’s some baselines for creating new ones, if needed.

After seeing related work and chatter around the board, here’s my go at MB522080 Single Din Radio Trim for the 1Gs. The original piece is made of ABS plastic so printing in the same ought to be comparable. The files for the screw and the spring tabs are included.

And for those looking for that 3-gauge pod for the lower section, here’s my go for an add-on version to the MB522080 trim for 60mm gauges:

File for the gauge is not included.

Expected to be close, not expected to be exact. Anyone with a printer that wants to give this / these a go and let us know how they fit or work, feel free.

Awesome designs!!!

The best try I see here is trying to make a 3D solid step file and then CNC Milling, or using carbon reinforced filament for 3D printing

I personally would not try to FDM print anything that uses "forces" on a car unless you print in a way that the layer lines are not what's being stressed.

I, did however, recently have some 3d prints made out of aluminum on pcbway.... they came out good and strong. I would suggest doing the same if you have an accurate model that you can test fit with an FDM print. Then you will have something that will "never break".

That’s kinda the point. LOL

It may seem like overkill to many. It probably is. In any case, I appreciate the kind words.

Hey! just wanted to show this clip in case anyone needs it. This clip is for the inside of the side vent located on the quarter panel for the 1g eclipse. My fault if there's a specific place to post this, I'm too lazy to search LOL.

I won’t lie you have a talent to this, I know this take time, it been in my head for so long to do some parts of the 2g but I know close to nothing of this cad programs… I been watching YouTube videos and and learned a few tools of the fusion360 personal use I have and did a simple radio bezel once.

I would like your help if you can to help the community, I’m not looking for profit because I do not sell 3d printing stuff.

I would like to do the front bumper air covers and the door vents. So every who want the file can print them for free.

well this is what I have so far... I need to to the hard part now... I did print so prototype and they match the size of the oem ones, the honeycomb one is for an intake one or brake cooler idea I guess...

Zip File for the 2G interior Shifter Cable Bushing (the one that attaches to the vertical cable controlled by the shifter itself, replaces stock part MB949743 & MB949744 [ 24594E & F ]). I may upload the STEP/CAD file later so others can make improvements if needed.

Can you share the file in .step format with what you have so far? I can work around with it. I just lost while driving one. I will upload the full 3D file after :)

2G Window Door Trim

I've modified your trim to fit an Alpine tweeter (appears to at least work for Alpine S and R series tweeters 52mm x 1.5mm thread). I modified the trim lid and made a 3rd model that attaches with 3 M3 x 6mm screws. It'd be nice to add a hole in the main trim for using the factory push clip for extra support, I just used a drill though. Seems sturdy enough without the clip anyway.

File? Por Favor haha.

Aftermarket boost sensor mount. Fits the style shown (known to work with AEM X-series sensor). Sensor snaps in securely and can mount to the firewall with a single bolt.

Seems the file may be corrupt, F360 didn't like the 3MF file after download.

Hi guys . Does anyone have a model of this

Hello. I’ve seen some of your work and it’s really satisfying for us. What I actually want to ask is: If I scan 1G DSM parts with a 3D scanner and then sell them on platforms that share 3D models, would I run into any copyright issues? Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this?
