Resolved 2G MAP sensor

So check this out I just realized that my MAP sensor was broken/melted and was just hanging about in the engine bay, so I just unhooked it from the car for now. They sell them at auto zone for like $100. but what are some adverse effects of running the car a couple miles a day for a few days with no MAP in the car?

You're actually talking about the MDP (manifold differential pressure) sensor. Its sole purpose is to make sure that the EGR system is properly working. You will most likely get a CEL since it's unhooked. Just leave it in the intake manifold for now so you don't just have a big hole there. You shouldn't have any problems driving it for a few days.
