Hello, I recently bought a GSX and noticed I wasn’t making boost at all and the coolant hoses were bad. So I replaced the hoses, added a new BOV (not circulated) and a new radiator.

As I go to turn on the car it starts chopping like a v8! So I check my hoses and I spray soap and water to see if I’m leaking and I don’t see bubbles. So then I replaced the O2 sensor and replaced my exhaust gasket that’s in the front because I was also getting a really strong gas smell. I go to turn it on and the car doesn’t chop anymore but then when it warmed up it started chopping again and when I rev it the rpm needle will drop all the the way down and die.

Oh and the gas smell is still there, it’s strong

Solution
The problem is fixed now, I didn’t know how bad it’ll run without having your BOV recirculating so a buddy of mine gave me his old tube and I put it in and it works now! My rpm’s aren’t going down anymore! I ran a HKS one but since I switched to a Greddy type S I didn’t know I had to recirculate it.

It’s a 1998 gsx, it just sounds like it has a big cam in it, well before it did but in this video I fixed some leaks and it sounds better but when it warms up the rpms start to go up and down again but not as bad anymore
