gsx starts idles rough and dies when it hits 1k rpm

i just bought my second eclipse upgrading from a 420a to a 4g63 and according to the previous owner it was just a head gasket so i took it home checked it the gaskets fine replaced the fuel pump and filter and i got it to start with my foot all the way down on the pedal until it hit 1000 rpms and then hear like a poof and it died tried it a few more times and same thing if i let off the gas at all it dies i syponed the old gas and replaced it with a few gallons of premium and spark plugs and wires ( the plugs looked so bad like it had never been changed) and just finished changing the oil and a new battery and a few fuses

How did you check the head gasket? You may want to perform a cylinder leak down test to ensure the head gasket is in good shape. What modifications are done to the car if any? Do you happen to know what the compression is like on the engine? And pull the timing cover off and see how that timing belt looks...

For the head gasket i checked the oil and the radiator for bubbles also checked the exhaust when we got it started the timing belt covers off the belt looks fine mechanicly has no mods all are just looks and i have no idea about the compresion

Timing markes were properly lined up and what not? I just suggest a cylinder leak down test to double check the head gasket because I have had them fail without any sign. (RIP WRX haha). Also check your cam angle sensor, these have been known to cause bad idle/stalling/dying issues. Make sure its in proper adjustment.

i figured it out the timing was off i have bent valves and and a cracked head

Thats what I was kinda thinking... I have had timing go out on a previous Talon of mine... Man sorry to hear you gotta deal with that crap.
