starts idles fine then rough idle then dies

WTF i have checked everything possible but i am stumped ok here is the deal when i start it it idles fine for a few minutes then begins to idle rough for a few seconds and then dies now if i restart right away it dies if i let it set for five minutes it repeats the idle section i wrote so i pulled the fuse bottom right checked all vaccum lines no leaks coil ecu maf and all other sensors as well as plugs and wires but i am totally lost not a first to dsm 1998 spyder gst auto (my wifes car) with the 1st gen swap and all mods per this site (thank you all for the insight) all parts and sensors are new so please help me out

Have you checked fuel pressure. And when it dies have a spark plug tester on the coil to see if you loose spark when it does die, vice versa have a noid light on the injector harness as well. And on another note the IAC motor on our cars are notorious for creating too much resistance and burning up the ecm. Try unplugging that, also while you are in that area, double check to see if the base idle is correct. Those are just a few of the things that came to mind, hope this helps you out.

I'd recommend first diagnosing whether it is losing spark or fuel.

Yeppers. Fuel fire and air are the first basic checks on any motor.....Need more information on whats going on to help you better. Can only guess for now.

i have fuel and fire timing is straight double checked that base idle is fine still doing it if i gas it it runs and moves other than that it goes into it again

How do you know theres no leaks? How did you check for leaks? Did you do a boost leak test??

I recently worked on a friends car that had the same issues,turned out to be the coolant temp sensor.

iam having the same problem on my 1g. iam fouling out plugs and i cant get it to rev up past 3500 and i had a puddle of coolant under my car after i worked on it last nite
