Anyone have the part number for the 2g dsm fwd factory fuel pump connector. Its a 2 prong female connector, thats orange on the inside and white on the outside. Mine has a short I cant seem to fix so need to replace for a reliable connection. But can only find the AWD version online.

Thanks

Awesome thanks. I repinned mine for now but due to the melted part of my connector I would like to fully replace. The 450lph fuel pump seems to draw quite the current

have you done a fuel pump re-wire yet? That might help to keep your wires and connectors intact. the stock wires weren't very well equipped to handle that kind of current draw. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, did the rewire when I first put in the original up graded fuel pump.(now have a 450 vs the 255.) But then something shorted out and I've had issues since. Wires and connector gets hot at times. Figured it was a bad ground.. my fuel pressure was also erratic, especially after running a while. Traced it to a bad ground wire going into the connector. Repinned with 10 gauge wire and so far it seems to be doing ok. Just don't like how that connector looks.

The link you sent i think will work.

A little follow up, I forgot I had modeled that connector on the FWD housing to some degree.

Two of the links provided have 3D models I downloaded and tried to assemble with what I modeled. Basically, I used the side slots to center and align everything. The below are as if you are bringing the harness connector to you. I’m also not going to say that I modeled the fuel pump connector perfectly, but you can easily see that one is closer than the other.

6189-0100 does not appear to be a good fit. Does not center well in the connector and has a large gap at the bottom, opposite the latch.

6189-0772 looks a bit better. Much tighter fit all around, keeping in mind I may have simplified the fuel pump side a bit. If I had to buy one blindly, this is the one I would choose.
