So i think I may have made a mistake....not cool. I sent my 2g head to the machine shop to get cleaned up. While I was waiting I decided to port(gasket match) the exhaust mani. I was under the impression that whenI got the head back I was going to gasket match the head(exhaust side) as well. Now Im reading that you DONT want to port the head at all, you just want to clean it up a little bit. Sooo, that leaves me with a mani that is fully gasket matched and the head which is not. So now the head exits from a smaller area to the mani, which now has a significant amount larger area opening. Will this hurt the flow in any way?

Heres a pic of the gasket against the head so basically my mani ports are as big as the holes on the gasket...you can see the difference.

Don't gasket match the exhaust side of the head. Leave it be it will be fine and flow will not be effected. And if that's what the machine calls clean....I'd find a new one.

I completely agree in the head cleaning. I payed 25 bucks to get it cleaned and it is way cleaner but it still had some crud on it.

Im glad to hear about the porting though. Thank you.
