I recently watched a you tube video of a guy named jamie who swaped a 4g63 into a 92 elantra. The question I had was on his head choice. He said he used 1.6 head with 1.8 cams. Dose any one know the reasoning behind this or has anyone done this?

I'm using a Hyundai cylinder head which is small cc and it works great with 4g63 cams 272's.

They hyundai 1.8L/colt 1.6L use smaller intake ports similar to the 2G head. Better airflow. Also...they have smaller combustion chambers, 43cc, vs 47cc for the DSM head. This bumps up compression about .6CR. Gives you a little extra free HP.

Wow thats really cool. I love seeing this kind of mix and match type tech . Dose any combo of the 4G engines and heads work? It seems like I find somthing new everyday. Id like to do a 4g63Head 64Block biuld, but what will all work or be the best combination. So the real question I have then is what is the best 4G head block coination, to include the hyundias also,
