hello, i have a 2g gsx with a 6 bolt. my goal for right now is to make about 350 hp/tq and to still maintain bottom end power. i have lots of good bolt ons but stock internals with headstuds. people were telling me that the 20g is the best turbo for me. How much boost do u guy think would be good for me to run with this turbo? keep in mind that it will be a dd. i need my car to be reliable and to stay within its boundries. also what size injectors do u guys recomend with a 20G? and how fast is the spool up a 20g?

Spool depends on your exhaust and how free flowing it is. I have a super 20g, and love it. For hitting that goal you will want something like 750 injectors.

Boost depends on the tune and injectors....as well as pump and tuning device. For me to hit my goal on the 20g (which is close to yours) im hoping to only be running around 20-22psi

Stock internals are good for up to 450hp (many have done this....many)

i have 3 inch exhaust and downipipe. i have a flashable ecu mitsu blackbox ecu that will be getting profesionally by pina motorsports in kent WA. supposed to be one of the best dsm tuners in the pacific nw. is the mhi 20g on forced performance a super 20g?

and i have a t3 manifold with a hks wastegate that recirculates into a 3 inch 02 housing that im not planning on using. would i be better off just buying a t3 flanged turbo? maybe ball bearing idk

I would imagine you'll be in the 18-20 psi range to achieve that and it'd probably be cheaper just to run a evo or big 16g

If you already have the t3 exhaust mani,go with the 20g from fp.That's a very good deal from them for that turbo and will definitely suite your goals.i didn't realize you had that exhaust mani already. And no it is not a super 20g,I think the super 20g is referring to hahn racecraft's version of the 20g.The one from fp is a MHI.

Depends on which one you get. There is like 50+ different combinations of 20gs you can run.

16g can get you there, but a lot harder, and pushing the turbo a lot more. 20g will be a little easier, and its just a great all around street turbo with room to grow.

I'm going to go ahead and recommend the FP 68HTA. You'll spool faster and hit your goal no problem (with room to grow), and not need an aftermarket wastegate or manifold. You can also do it on an Evo3 16G, but you'll be maxing it out on gasoline.

just go with the 20g on FPs site. for 539 it's gonna be really hard to find a brand new one for that price. don't go spending almost a grand for a turbo to hit your 350hp.

Ok, with just that rite there I will tell you what to do. Save yourself the BS, time, and money, and
PUT AN EVO 3 16G ON IT!
A real mitsu one. Not some ebay junk.
Its cheap, proven, reliable, simple, makes power, spools fast, will meet your goals. Want me to keep going?:dsm:

I would go with a Evo III 16g. But I would take the head off and put some ARP head studs in it and a better head gasket before I'd crank the boost to 20psi.

16 turbo 25-27 psi will get you 350 whp, 20g turbo 18-22 psi will get you 350 whp. So it really doesnt matter, do whichever makes you happy. But dont forget 20g flows more so down the road you can get bigger injectors, tune it and turn up the wick.

put the 20g, evo3 is nice but 20g at 25-27 psi give you some woooping hp!!! LOL the thig is that, once you got the evo3 you tell to you man it is great but how does it feel if i got the 20g? i have had them both first the evo3, was nice... but it died i used to race it at 24-26 psi... and it died... then i got the 20g that one last longer.... until one day the flywheel take a place out the crank and ...... a lot of things died that day.... so man get the 20g and have fun... at least 650cc inyectors and tuning.... better 750cc and tuning.... as Bluefire16 said... mmm spool w/ evo3 full boost used to be at 4300-4400 and 20g 4500-4600rpm.... w/ 3 inch downpipe and full exaust... and stock head... at those times on my car...

I found mine on FP s site back in 2010 LOL still on the car.
