Thats a bummer, there is another event at Grattan on the 31st that I am running in my Mini that I am trying to get people to go to. Also, why backwards?

Not sure really why they ran the track in reverse. It looks like the normal way to run the course would be faster. Especially with the speed you could carry coming up to the straight.

Being able to drive the track in both directions can only aid in making you a better driver in my eyes. Just my personal .02 though.

Yeah you I do carry a lot of speed up to the straight but there is a pretty wicked bump at the apex of that corner.

Phil, I agree but Grattan has some really tricky elevation changes and off camber stuff that is way more fun/difficult when you go the normal way.

Keep it up... doesn't matter the direction, the more time on the track the better you'll get and the more you'll learn your car. Keep having fun!

Ah, fair enough. So, it's awkward in reverse I'm gathering. Well, if you ever get some in car video I'd like to see that. Looks like a nice area.

The trickiest part I found going in reverse was the entry speed transitioning to the sweeping s (turns 1 + 2).

I am still on street tires and street pads. I did make sure to put good brake fluid and bring an extra set of pads. I would have had better pads, but am undecided on brake setup.

I opted to get an instructor to show me the ropes. He pushed me in some areas that I would not have thought I could.

I would love to get a GoPro, but will have wait until after I get more appropriate tires.

What tires you used for the track? Was it the dunlops in your profile?

It was the Dunlops in my profile, but not the car with modes in my profile.
