Ok everyone time to get the word out again, another chance to show off your ride is upon us!

August 30th and 31st the SCCA will be hosting a track day at High Plains Raceway in Byers, Colorado

As per usual, there will be two run groups = PDX and CTT

PDX is for open lapping and will have instructors available to first time drivers. This is a safe and fun chance to get your car on the track. All you need to bring is your car and a helmet (any motorcycle or auto racing helmet will do!!)

CTT is for those who want to test their ability at the track. If you rent a Transponder ($50) you can set your lap times and compete for the fastest lap! ANYONE who signs up for CTT can set lap times. But only SCCA members can win prizes that might be handed out. As participation grows, so too will the prizes.

If we can keep 40 to 60 cars at the track every event day, I can get prizes like tires and brake pads and other stuff depending on how much participation we get and how much everyone is willing to chip in for ticket prices. I hope to have all this kinda stuff going by next year, so lets show them we can make it happen!

Let everyone you know about the event and have them come sign up. It's easy and its really cheap.

PDX is $99 for the whole weekend!!!

CTT is $125 for the whole weekend!!!

SIGN UP HERE = http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/labor-daze-high-plains-raceway-scca-colorado-270080#.U9ElmrHLOM0

If you show up for Saturday, there is a free dinner served after the event

Sign up now, they will not charge you until the registration closes, which is approx the Sunday before the event weekend.

Lastly, if you want to help volunteer to work corners you get a free PDX session, a Free meal, and a discount on SCCA membership AND if we get 10 more volunteers for the weekend we can run the whole course!

So come to the track and help us grow the PDX and CTT run groups

It is a very cool track, nice elevation change, relatively new. Probably the best option in the Denver and surrounding areas. Before we moved I got a chance to get out there after it was built and get some seat time. Very fun.

UPDATE!!!

We are doing a 'bring a buddy' special.

There are currently 10 by one get one free tickets available for PDX .

Do if you buy a PDX or CTT ticket your buddy gets a PDX ticket for FREE!!!

Remember one ticket is good for both days, so come one day only or both days, whichever is easier for you :)

How the heck are you doing this at those prices? That is an amazing deal.

How are we doing those prices? Well, lots of reasons really.

Mainly, we have had high participation at events. So the more people that come to the racetrack, the cheaper it is for everyone.

Also the SCCA is a non-profit group. So we have sponsors, like the TireRack.com, who pitch in money to help out.

If we can get out membership up to around 20+ CTT drivers and 20+ PDX drivers - then next year we are going to run prizes for CTT. Things like tires, brake pads, shop service, oil changes, cash, etc etc. It depends on how many drivers we can get to come to the track each event :)

SO spread the word and let everyone you know hear about this! This is not only a fun time at the track, but it's also a change to get in on the ground floor of a growing track club.

cheers!

Ah sorry, my question was rhetorical and just me marveling at the price :) Wish we had those kind of prices over here in the mid-atlantic. Seriously that is a steal!
