It's $150 for all the laps you can stand at MidAmerica Motorplex, about 20 miles south of Council Bluffs, Iowa. http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/2006/default.asp
We use it for test n' tune, because we can have ridealongs (so my tuner, Mike, can fiddle with the controllers). Usually there are 40 or so cars, arranged in two or three groups (beginner, intermediate, expert). We've run with only two groups, but that just flat wears you out. I like three groups, because I need 40 minutes between sessions to rest and cool off.
No requirements, other than a helmet, but nobody checks or techs you.
Any DSM driver who has even THOUGHT about HPDEs, hot lapping or road racing, and lives within 250 miles, ought to attend. You can run as hard or as easy as you want, free instructors are available (the experienced guys will ride along with you) and you can catch rides in the fast cars.
Hope to see you there.
Rich
