I'm not sure what the deal is with the aluminum thing. But the rest of it I'm in love with.

I kinda want to try this myself.I would keep the braces in there for more support.

yes the Braces are Epoxied in. after all this is done i will be making a mold of the bumper and making a one piece fiberglass version.

Ohh your going to get done and then make a mold and make a whole fiberglass 1gb talon bumper.

If you do an eclipse one, I would want one.Look at mine, I cut out the crap in the middle and made a smiley bumper.I would be interested in doing it myself or buying one.So it's a stock aftermarket part.

If you make one for a 1ga GSX I'll buy it.

well it would fit your car. talon, eclipse and laser. as long as its a 1gb.

I might take out the non functional holes at the top nose where the hood meets to clean it up a bit. as well as the badge.

I am actually digging the center brace. I personally think it kind of looks "goofy" when guys just cut the top of the bumper out around the intercooler. I know that it is the only way to get air to the whole intercooler, but having an intercooler already brings alot of attention, let alone making it look 10 times bigger. Your brace gives it support, functionality, and still keeps the overall lines of the factory bumper. I would def pick one up from you for my 1gb talon if you ever made a mold. But lets see how this one turnsout first!

P.S. tomorrow is saturday, so we expect big updates over the weekend LOL

Haha I will defenitly have time tomorrow for the bumper. ;) Sunday I will be installing the front suspention that I painted for a 61 Austin Healy sprite race car. But I hope to get alot done tomorrow

I don't want a talon bumper.Eclipse baby.LOL
Yeah you could have a real market for these.

I just had a thought that if you made something out of sheet aluminum that would extend at least 2-3 inches past the cut and it ran the whole length of the cut it could work with the stock bumper modded. Granted the areas of the sheet that contact the bumper would need to have a ton of holes to allow proper adhesion but I think that would have the best chance.

Group buy? i just thought i'd ask. this looks like it should be a sweet piece when it's done. keep up the good work

I don't want to break the rules for posting on here about that. But i will be looking into becoming a supporting vendor. I'm just not at that point yet. But I do appreciate the positive comments:)

I need to find a better way of getting air to my intercooler without it looking ugly and this is one of the best things I've seen. I hate those big mouths that are cut terribly, they just don't look good, but the 1ga bumper currently covers like 3 of the 8" of intercooler height. That's why I'm so interested. LOL

ok update on the bumper.
i laid down 2 layers of fiberglass on the outside.

I know its a bit late, and you hinted towards an all-body application... but for those of you bumper only talons this one posted earlier flows most excellently... (by flow I mean body lines, airflow is marginally better)

The one thing I like a/b the talons over lasers, (besides the ass) is how the sideskirt body lines add so much to the stance, and in this case allow you to "clock" the frond bumper for more airflow and looks.

Yours is coming along quite nice though. I think im gonna want to try this for mine over the summer.

Wow I have always been dead set on the 90 front end cause I love the pop ups, but the picture in the linked post of the red talon with this modified 1gb concept really makes me consider doing the conversion. I could also use the "less weight on the front end" benefit as an additional excuse right? LOL
