Hey guys I been messing around and think I'm going to start making these kits for the 1ga guys. If you are like me and love the 1ga but hate the output on the light this would be a great kit for you. The pictures are without HID blubs but you can still see what the cutoff is going to be and how good it is.

This is a bit like the ones they have for the MR2 and FD RX7... I can't remember what they call them. But I'd rather have a projector in a housing.
<--currently attempting to retrofit a h3 mini morimoto into one.

Ya I've seen them for both cars I just wanted to do something a little different we are used to seeing the single on dsm's. Now don't get me wrong the single projector looks hella good too. I've done some retro fitting on other cars I prefer the H1 Morimoto very nice output and can be put in a 4x6 pretty easy.

Weird... if this is a double post, I cannot see my original post. Anyways, I would be interested in a price as well. Also any additional detail that you could provide would be awesome as well. What would the lights look like with the HID bulbs installed?

And stock fog lights with that assembly would probably no longer cut it. They would have to be upgraded to some kind of floodlight in my opinion haha.

I'm going to finish the whole kit then I'll install the HIDs. I still have alot of work left. So far I can tell you its a build on payment and you send me your headlight units I do all the work and you just plug in and go. The fog lights are pretty good I upgraded the blubs seem to be ok for now. I'll see what I come up with for that later.

The kit will come with:
HIDs for lows
Modded headlight units
4 projectors
normal bulb for highs because of HID warm up time

If you want HID for the highs it will be more money and you was warned because of warm up time its not the best for highs.

Price will be given after I get both sides done and drive around with them and etc all the testing to make sure its a good product. I want you to be able to put these in and use them for years minus bulbs burning out.

With the availability of small Bi-Xenon projector units from morimoto why go with a 4x projector setup? 2x bi-xenon should work just as well, if not better, at half the cost.

what type of projector are you using? what type of cutoff shield?
are the lens clear or frosted? pretty cool, more info please. are you going to hack up all your wiring or is it going to be an h4666 plug n play? ive done a handful of retrofits for 1gs but i never liked the dual setups cause the light pattern but if your able to do it with a crisp cutoff id love to see a finished HID setup!

Just wanted to do something other the 2x bi-xenon in the 4x6.

Clear lens.
The cutoff is already really crisp without HIDs :sneaky:

Sounds great! I am extremely interested in seeing how this comes out. Also, I never liked the look of a single projector in our flip up lights... it looks too awkward in my opinion but the dual looks awesome if the funtionality works out.

Also this may be a dumb question but newer cars that have projectors, do they use HID bulbs for the high beam as well or do they just use a single projector that does both...etc. Not too familiar with these. Thanks.

My friends acura integra has factory hid bulbs and his uses hid for low beam and a regular light for high beams.

I like the 2 x 2 projectors, I think HID low's with normal high beams is perfect. Is there a back plate or are the projectors just suspended by a bracket?

They are just mounted to a plate right now..still need to come up with something so you do not see everything behind it.

The low will be HID and the high will be a normal

This will be a fixed unit and sleepy eye to guys no more motors I will use my car to line the beams up.. Unless someone wants a working one then the projectors will need to be moved to the middle of the headlight bucket then you can have a working headlight as normal. I'm a big fan of the sleepy eye so this is why I'm doing it this way.

Welp, I just lost interest if the retro fit if it means the lights become fixed in place. I like the pop ups, and more importantly I like them staying functional in the sense of raising and lowering.

I said if someone wanted the headlights like that then I would make them that way. Its cool if you lost interest in them but to move them and make two sets is not a big deal.

So the low HID and high normal is what standard cars use then? I am just curious.

And although the sleepy eye look is cool, I also prefer the working assembly especially in climates where the road conditions might not be as preferable as it would be where I am in AZ now. When I go home, I like to have full function of my lights in Alaska. So maybe it would be good to have a plan to have both sets created for both preferences... which you are already probably planning haha. But I know that many people should be interested in this once you have everything perfected and some prices at hand. I know that I am still very interested ;)

I would also want a functional popup unit but I do really like the sleepy eye look of your car, if only we could have them functional but have them only pop up that far when we turn them on. I can't wait until you start selling these.

^ I think I remember reading a way to do that years ago. I can't go look at my car since it's half way around the world right now, but I think you can adjust the arm to the pop ups. If not I seem to recall some people installing a toggle switch to kill the power to the motors, so as there coming up you flip the switch and wala "sleep eye". Could check VFAQ, might have something on it.
