hey guys I am currently working on a project where I am retrofitting some bmw 7 series projectors into the stock headlights. I will be taking some pics tonight. Currently have one fit in and just need to get the eagle eye installed and then I will have one complete..anyone interested in the full write up and how to?

Ok well I have started so I guess I can post the pics to what I have done so far. First of all i stuck the headlight in the over and all that to get it apart. Then I removed the reflector assembly and took it out entirely to be able to cut a hole out of the back big enough to fit in the projector. After a bit of cutting and fitting I finally got it in the way I wanted and then got some fleece from walmart to make a black covering out of. I stuck it on the projector with some fiberglass resin to harden it up and it is now attached to the reflector assembly. Here are the pics I took. The rest of the process I will take more pics so you can see more of the process.

SO THIS WEEKEND I MADE SOME EAGLE EYE HALO RINGS FOR THE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT PROJECT :sneaky: THESE WERE NOT THAT HARD TO MAKE EITHER WHICH WAS SURPRISING...CHEAP AS WELL. HERE ARE A FEW PICS OF THE RINGS AND INSTALLED AND LIT UP SO YOU CAN SEE. I PLAN ON PUTTING ONE IN THE HIGH BEAM BEZEL AS WELL TO COMPLIMENT THE OTHER ONE. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

i didnt do a full circle because i am making them for my brother and he wants the eagle eye mod look. I think it looks pretty sweet and with both high beam and projector halos it will look sick! :hellyeah:

Are those bi-xenon lights?

I've actually contemplated installing some bi-xenon projectors in the low-beam housing while keeping the high beam halogens installed, but wired up to a separate switch and relay so I can run those on dark back country roads.

I believe they are the bi xenon lights but i am just going to run them as regular hid and have the halogen as the highs...with hid there is not much need for highs if you ask me LOL...i cant wait to see how they turn out..

I live in a rural area. Properly aimed HIDs with a good cutoff don't light up the hills along the sides of the road. Deer like to jump from those areas.

Are you going to modify the wiring so the HIDs are always on, even with the halogen high beams on? That way the don't turn off and restart when when you flash your highs?

If there is not a solenoid attached to a moveable cut-off shield then they are not bi-xenon.

In a bi-xenon projector you would also see two wires attached to the solenoid used to activate the movable shutter for the high beam.

Yeah i am not sure about the bi-xenon then because they are stripped projectors because i dont have the connector or anything but on the back of the projector it says hi so i was guessing there must have been a silenoid at one time....also the stock eclipse wiring for the headlights is a swithing ground for the highs so both are always on when you switch on the brights...it is not like most cars where there is a switching power for either high or low beam. So yes both will be one when the highs get flashed. Also the halo rings will be wired into the marker lights so they can be turned on or off with the running lights

Yes it is...I am going to do a dual projector set up on these and I just stated with the high beam. Those will be the yellow projector like the jdm look and the low beam are the bmw 7 series projectors. I will post the pics once I get the other projectors in.

Here are the pics of the lights with the yellow projector as the high beams

The problem I had when I had my HIDs is that the stock halogen high beams were useless. You couldn't even tell if they were on or off without the dash indicator. When/if I do another retro, I am going to go bi-xenon and just axe the high beams.
