1g vs 2g MAF

Are they any different? I have a six bolt in a 95, but it has a GM MAF that has given me all sorts of trouble. I can only seem to find used 2g mafs, are they interchangeable? Should I use a 2g anyways?

so you have a gm maf and a 2g maf you don't need a 1g maf replace the 2g look on ebay part outs.

They are hugely different in both size and capability. The 2G is just superior in every single way; do whatever you can to stay away from a 1G MAS.

You still have a 2G car/ECU, you want to use a 2G MAF. Just plug it in. If you're currently using the MAFT to compensate for bigger injectors, you'll have to come up with another solution for that.
