Alright. I been fixing my car up a little at a time. But nothing is working. And I'm beginning to get frustrated. But before the car gets even more destroyed or whatever is goin on. Will someone just help me diagnose it and cure it before its no longer running? My current issues are that is a extremely hard to crank over. Like 8-13 times before it actually cranks over. Once it starts it runs lean and doesn't even read on the wideband. I have a safc2 that is jacked up to 40%just so it gets to 15.7 while driving it gets into normal settings of a/f but seems to break up slightly and I mean very slightly. At times it will run lean and once boost reaches 15 psi. It hits a wall and sputters and backfires. But may I mind you that the fuel maps are set in 16% or above. And I'm not sure why this is. I just installed a brand new o2 550cc injectors walbro 190 new fuel filter new batter new alternator and starter. Anyone got any clue to why this is going on?#

How is your walbro installed? Did you buy an install kit and use the o-ring, spacer, and retainer cap when you installed it? Sounds about like my talon when my pump wasn't installed right.

The emissions has nothing to do with the car starting or running, assuming you removed everything correctly. Installing a FMIC isn't going to fix anything, you've got to do a BLT, even after the FMIC install, to make sure there is no air escaping. Just tighten up clamps and couplers is a piss poor way to decide whether you've got a boost leak or not, how would you know if its leaking at the IM or TB?

You wouldn't with out doing one. But my problem now occurs into the fact of not having a compressor small enough or knowing exactly what I'm testing and looking for. I'm not dumb on the fact of this car. Just don't know all my knowledge. And ive been reading around and I haven't seen similair posts yet.

All you have to is set your your engine to TDC and pressurize the system and listen for leaks, IC Pipe Tester is on VFAQS

It sounds to me like you have a fuel line leak somewhere, do you have braided line and fittings? I had a fitting that was leaking and it took a few cranks to get the car to start. I tightened a fitting I thought was leaking and now it fires right up.

A bigger compressor is fine, just make sure to monitor how much you put in. I'd love to have a compressor that size for this because you can build pressure quickly and continue to fill if you have a big leak. No compressor is too large.

alright so just hook it up for a little bit it isnt going to hurt anything by putting in 120 psi?

you can monitor how much goes in. It will not fill it at 120psi. It will fill like a tire. Just watch the pressure gauge on the attachment.
