I had posted a different thread, but didnt get anyreply after i put up some video, so if you can check it out and tell if the gague is susposed to go above 7psi and usually sits low...

There was a new problem i was really worried about today when i let the car run and drove it down the street and back when i got out and looked in the engine bay, the exhaust manifold and the turbo were red hott!! to the point you can see it, i tried to take a picture but it was too dark out and the phone dont take good pics...

Also i keep swapping the vacuum lines around on the throttle body and seems to make a difference now, when i drove to the gas station it was running real well and on the way home it started acting up, the alternator is bad and i was wondering if the battery dying and losing power would make the car bogg out??

the exhaust getting red hot can be the catalystic, you need to change it or just eliminate it

well i eliminate mine be sure if there isnt any restrictions where you live about emissions cause u can get in troble just take it as a tip and i hope this help you . . .

EGT's are are probably through the roof. making it run really lean

yea i live in cali and our smog laws suck here, But yea i got my civic straight piped, no biggie,

You say the EGT"S could be high, would an unhooked egr valve vacuum line cause this? When i was looking around i notice one of the vacuum line had came off

Not enough boost will cause high EGT's and unburned fuel. And a bad vacuum line could cause unburned fuel. What is your boost at?

well the gauge wont go above 7psi, that's why i posted the video in the link to try and see if it was normal where it was sitting and how high it would go up (if that makes no sense sorry) also after i plugged in the vacuum lines and what not i took it to the gas station and it ran fine then gauge would hit up to 14psi, i didnt want to push it at all ### i didnt want to mess anything up, but on the way home the battery started to die (bad alternator) and the car started to bogg out and what not. any ideas??

Well if it is bogging out that could be because of the battery dieing. But hard to say was the manifold and turbo red with that line plugged in? And are you actually boosting or do you pull off before it releases?

kinda turbo-boost illiterate here, but i can feel it boost starts pulling way harder, i dont push it though, after i plugged in the vacuum line it wasn't red hot anymore, It wasn't bogging until the battery started to die so, the battery dying is prob, that problem. can somone look at the video that i posted in the other thread, i put a link http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newb...ttle-help.html.., i was trying to see if the gague was working right or not or if anyone can see if there is something wrong please thanks!!
